The Golden Hour – 14×18

The Golden Hour is one of the few paintings I’ve made based on a reference photo I took. One evening in mid spring the sun was setting behind the red maple tree in my back yard. There was a slight drizzle which made that golden light bounce and dance off of every newly emerging leaf covered in little drops of water. It was so beautiful.
