What’s My Life’s Greatest Ambition You Asked?

I know, you didn’t ask, but I’m going to tell you anyways because it’s awesome.

The Whole Shebang

Step 1: The Trilogy

I have been in the process of writing a fantasy trilogy for the last five to ten years of my life. The idea is all there, I’m fleshing out the exact chapters and plot sequence, and then I can just sit down and write it.

Step 2: Tales From the Trilogy

While I created the world and the story for the trilogy, I also had ideas for little stories tales that are told around the fires or used to scare children before bed. Stories like The Girl Who Fell In Love With The Fox Spirit, The Witch Who Collected Confessions, and The Children of Vinder. This will also include many different songs the people of this world sing. This will be published alongside the trilogy at some point.

Step 3: The Art

I will be drawing, painting, illustrating, collaging, and manifesting every single piece of art that comes out of this world. I’ll be painting the life size version of the world map, doing the illustrated images throughout the books of scenes or characters, the book covers, I’ll paint the art that is described in the books, I’ll collage images of scenes from the books. You name it, I’m creating it.

Step 4: The Animation

Yes indeed, we can’t just stop at the books and the art, we have to continue on and animate the entire series myself including voice acting half the characters. It may take me decades to draw out every frame (or learn that there are quicker ways to do it) but best believe, I will do it.

Step 5: The TV Show

After my book series inevitably takes off (I can only hope), I’ll get to try my hand at directing a TV show. But wait there’s more! I want to sew every costume used by the actors, craft every important prop needed, write and help compose every song used, and help with the scripting. I draw the line at acting or singing. I don’t want to butcher my own show. *drowns in my own ego*

Step 6: The Merchandise

At this point my books are selling out left and right and the Netflix original series is ranked number one in the country for a month. Because I’m the author, artist, and general creator of this universe and everything that comes from it, I also get to make all the merchandise! Prints of the artwork from the books and show (since the originals have long since been auctioned off to ultimate fans), tailored cosplay outfits made by me, calendars with artwork from the books for each month and information on character’s birthdays, t-shirts with my character illustrations on them or their popular quotes, stickers galore, and anything else I can possibly imagine.

Step 7: The School

And now for my final act. With my millions and billions of dollars I open up the first free art school where you never have to declare a major. You can just take whatever art classes you want and learn one or all of the creative paths available. I’m known as the very eclectic and a little bit mad professor that never actually teaches any classes but I’m always on campus. I have one lecture every semester completely unannounced where I talk about whatever I feel like and spill the wisdom I’ve learned from a life of creativity. Every year a new fact comes out about me that no one ever knew. There are three classes dedicated to dissecting each of the books in the trilogy and fan theories.

Step 8: Retirement

At this point I have almost no energy left and I’m around 115 years old (I still have 12 more years to go though). I settle down a bit and spend a year recording my books on tape. It takes this long because I’m finally tired of hearing myself speak and I can only hear myself read for so long before I have to go bother someone else. I go down in history as the wildest person to ever live while also being known as the coolest fantasy author ever. When I die my body spontaneously combusts and my ashes scatter themselves like a phoenix waiting to be reborn again. The scientific community can’t figure out how it happened and never gets over it. I haunt the school I built where the students spread conspiracy theories about when I’ll be reborn.

Realistically

I just hope I write the trilogy. It’s been swimming in my head for years and years and it’s on my bucket list to be a published author. I could die happy at 30 if I managed to publish my trilogy. If even one person likes it that would be even better. I do still plan on doing all of the illustrations for the books and the covers and painting the world map, but past that the rest of this is just a dream 🙂

If I make it that far I hope I manage to publish the other 17 book ideas in my head.
